Week of May 7th, 2012

The Second Grade started learning about fractions this week! Each student created  their "Perfect Pizza" and decorated with their favorite toppings.  Yum!

Welcome back to the blog! We have been working hard this week on a special (and top secret!) project.  We also visited the 5th and 6th grade science fair.

The Second Grade worked hard this week on Terra Nova testing.  But, we had some fun too! It was ElenaJane's birthday and we participated in Stand Up Against Racism on Friday. We hope you like the pictures!

Week of April 16th, 2012

This week we read the story Rechenka's Eggs and did an 'eggs-periment' to help her dye her eggs! We discovered that the more vinegar you add to water and food coloring, the darker your eggs turn out.  We also practiced measuring our arm span in inches.

The Second Grade went to the Museum of Science and Industry this week-What a great time! We also took a Spring Walk around our school to look for signs of Spring.
